HereFor Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026.

This policy explains how data is processed when you use HereFor for iPhone, what stays on your device, what is shared with external services, and how you can manage your data.

1. Who is responsible for your data

HereFor is provided by Pavel Litvinka, a sole trader operating in the Republic of Poland as a jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza (JDG) under the business name Pavel Litvinka ("we", "us", or the "Operator").

The Operator is the controller of the personal data it receives in connection with HereFor. This processing is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

This policy covers the app and communications with the Operator. External websites and services that Apple operates independently describe their processing in their own privacy policies.

2. Data on your device

You do not need an account to use HereFor. Your selected apps and restrictions, settings, intentions, visit history, measured time in other apps, responses after visits, reports, and diagnostic records about the app's operation are stored on your device. This data supports restrictions, reminders, your history, and troubleshooting.

HereFor does not upload your complete visit history or measured time in other apps to its analytics service. However, some information about your app selections, intentions, and responses is shared as described below. Local storage of your history does not mean that all HereFor data stays on your phone.

HereFor does not provide cloud synchronisation of your history. If you enable iOS device backups, app data may be included in those backups. You manage them through Apple's tools; we do not access them through HereFor.

3. Data shared for analytics

We use Amplitude to analyse HereFor's use and reliability. When Share my statistics is enabled, the following information is shared:

Category Information included
Identifiers and technical information A random installation identifier, called the Install ID; identifiers and timestamps for analytics events and HereFor sessions; app version; device model and manufacturer; operating system version; language; App Store country; the region set on your device; IP address and the approximate location derived from it (city, region, country); mobile carrier; time since installation
Interactions with HereFor Screens viewed, navigation, how the app was opened, interactions with notifications, time spent on screens and completing actions, selected duration settings, system permission status, and the results of permission requests
Initial setup The selected app and activity type, answers to questions about habits, the intention and time selected in the demonstration, steps completed, returns to previous steps, and completion of setup
App selections The number of selected apps and categories, the result of saving your selection, and information identifying selected apps that HereFor recognises
Intentions and visits The text of a custom intention when you create it and the associated app, if recognised; the name you type for an app HereFor does not recognise, when you save it; intention type; selected time; the start, extensions, and end of a visit; counts of visits and responses; response categories, reasons for extending a visit, and visit outcome categories
Offers and subscriptions Offer views, plan selection, price and currency, trial eligibility and duration, purchase and restore results, subscription and auto-renewal status available to the app, and changes to that status
Errors The error type and code, the feature in which the error occurred, and, in some cases, a brief error description
Crash and performance diagnostics Reports supplied by iOS through MetricKit about crashes (including system watchdog terminations), unresponsive periods, slow launches, excessive CPU use, and disk writes; the affected app version and build, operating system and device, report interval, exception codes and available termination reason; bounded call stacks identifying code modules, binary UUIDs and frame addresses or offsets

This information is linked to the Install ID and can be analysed together. For example, initial setup steps can be analysed alongside later use and subscription activity. The identifier does not contain your name, but it distinguishes one installation from another. Analytics data is therefore pseudonymous, rather than fully anonymous.

Visit start and end events include event timestamps and the settings you selected. They do not include measured time spent using another app. Timestamps show the sequence of actions in HereFor.

HereFor does not record the contents of other apps' screens, messages, or browsing history within them. We do not use your data for advertising tracking across other companies' apps and websites, and we do not sell it.

4. How and why we process data

Data comes from your actions and responses in HereFor, system permissions, and information provided by iOS and the App Store. When analytics is enabled, the app automatically sends events to Amplitude over the internet. Communications with us contain information you choose to provide.

Processing Purpose and legal basis under the GDPR
Local settings, restrictions, intentions, history, and reports Providing the features you request — performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b), to the extent necessary for those features
Checking and restoring subscription access Providing paid access — performance of a contract, Article 6(1)(b)
Analytics about interactions, initial setup, app selections, intentions, responses, and subscriptions We rely on legitimate interests in making initial setup clearer, improving suggested intentions and other features, and evaluating their use and subscription offers — Article 6(1)(f)
Error analytics Identifying and fixing problems and improving HereFor's reliability — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f)
Enquiries about the app or a purchase Fulfilling our obligations to you — Article 6(1)(b); for other enquiries, our legitimate interest in reviewing and responding to them — Article 6(1)(f)
Personal data requests Complying with obligations under data protection law — Article 6(1)(c)
Information needed for a specific legal claim Establishing or defending that claim — legitimate interests, Article 6(1)(f)

You can turn off analytics independently of your subscription. Doing so does not remove access to paid features. Sections 5 and 14 explain how to turn off analytics and object to processing.

5. Permissions, consent, and turning off analytics

HereFor requests system permissions for Screen Time and notifications. You can change them in iOS Settings. Without Screen Time access, the app cannot apply the corresponding restrictions. Without notifications, features that depend on their delivery will be unavailable.

Analytics is enabled from the first launch. The app does not show a separate consent request for it. Granting Screen Time permission or reading this policy does not constitute separate consent to share data for analytics.

To stop the collection and transmission of analytics events, open Settings → About → Share my statistics and set it to Off. If you want to request deletion of analytics data already collected, first save the Install ID displayed there. It changes when you turn analytics off, and the previous identifier is no longer shown.

Turning off analytics does not delete data already sent. Events recorded on your device but not yet sent when you turn analytics off are deleted and will not be sent, including if you turn analytics on again. You can request deletion of data already sent by following section 13.

Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it by contacting the Operator using the details in section 1. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. For the analytics described here, which operates without separate consent, you can turn off collection, object to processing, and request deletion.

6. Screen Time and selected apps

HereFor uses Screen Time to restrict access to selected apps and manage your history on your device. iOS provides the app with special identifiers for the items you select.

Where iOS grants the relevant access, HereFor also reads the catalogue of installed apps on your device to identify selected apps and display their names. The complete catalogue and the special Screen Time identifiers are not sent for analytics.

When analytics is enabled, HereFor sends the number of selected apps and categories, together with identifiers for selected apps it recognises. These identifiers reveal which apps you selected. They are linked to the same Install ID as other analytics information.

HereFor does not request access to your device's location. The analytics service derives an approximate location — city, region and country — from your IP address.

7. Initial setup and custom intentions

Your answers during initial setup help tailor the explanations and demonstration of HereFor's features. When analytics is enabled, your answers, selected app, and the intention and time selected in the demonstration are also sent to Amplitude to evaluate and improve setup.

When you create a custom intention, the first 60 characters of its text and an identifier for the associated app, if recognised, are sent once for analytics. We use this text to improve the list of suggested intentions. Selecting an existing custom intention later does not send its text again as part of a visit.

When you name an app that HereFor does not recognise, the first 60 characters of the name you type are sent once for analytics, when you save it. We use these names to learn which apps to recognise. What you type to search for an app is not sent.

Do not include passwords, payment details, health information, or other people's personal data in custom intentions or app names. Deleting an intention on your device does not delete text previously sent for analytics.

8. Purchases and subscriptions

Purchases are made through the App Store. Apple provides the app with information about the product, transaction, access entitlement, subscription duration and status, trial period, renewal, and restoration. This information is used to provide paid features. We do not receive your payment card number.

When you make a purchase, HereFor sends Apple a random installation identifier to associate the purchase with that installation. This also happens when product analytics is turned off; no HereFor account is created.

When analytics is enabled, information about offers, purchase results, and subscription changes available to the app is sent to Amplitude as described in section 3. Restoring a purchase restores access, not your local history.

Apple independently processes data for its payment and account services. See Apple's Privacy Policy and App Store & Privacy.

9. Contacting the Operator

You can contact us at herefor@pltv.ink or the postal address in section 1. When you contact us, we receive the contact details, message content, and attachments you provide. We use them to review and respond to your enquiry. Your local HereFor history is not automatically attached to your message.

Please share only information needed for your enquiry. If troubleshooting requires more information, such as a description of your actions or a screenshot, you decide what to send.

10. Recipients and transfers outside the EEA

Amplitude, Inc., United States, provides product analytics and processes the information sent to it on the Operator's behalf. HereFor uses the service's European region. However, the provider and its subprocessors may access data from countries outside the European Economic Area, including the United States.

We require providers processing data on our behalf to limit processing to agreed purposes, maintain confidentiality and data security, and assist with user requests. The required level of protection must be at least equivalent to that set out in this policy.

Amplitude's published data processing terms provide for these obligations and international transfer mechanisms: the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where an applicable, valid certification is in place, or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. Amplitude publishes a list of subprocessors and processing countries and its own Privacy Notice. You may request information about the safeguards applicable to your data, and a copy of those safeguards, by contacting the Operator using the details in section 1.

Apple receives data needed for purchases and the operation of its system services. Processing for services Apple operates independently is governed by its policy linked in section 8. HereFor's analytics setting does not control that processing.

On the Operator's side, access to communications and analytics is limited to people who need it for the purposes described in this policy. Necessary data may also be disclosed to competent authorities in response to a lawful requirement or in connection with a specific legal dispute.

11. How long data is retained

On your device. Your history, settings, and intentions are stored in the app's local data. There is no automatic deletion period for your complete history. You can delete a custom intention in HereFor's settings; this does not automatically delete associated history records.

In Amplitude. There is currently no fixed maximum retention period for analytics. Data remains stored until it is deleted; it is not automatically deleted after a set number of months. Stopping use of HereFor or turning off analytics does not delete data already sent. You can request its deletion as described in section 13.

Communications. Retention depends on the time needed to review your enquiry, respond, and resolve related follow-up questions. If particular correspondence is needed for a legal claim or must be retained by law, the relevant information is kept for the applicable period for establishing or defending the claim, or the period required by law. This does not automatically apply to all analytics data.

Data held by Apple and device backups. Retention is governed by Apple's service policies and your settings. HereFor does not control how long Apple retains payment records or system backups.

12. Data security

Local data is held in app storage protected by the operating system. Analytics and communications with Apple services use secure connections. The security of local data also depends on how you protect your device and who can access it.

HereFor's analytics records your IP address and the approximate location the analytics service derives from it: city, region and country. HereFor uses them to understand where it is used and to improve the service. It never asks for your precise location.

13. How to request deletion

To request deletion of analytics data, email herefor@pltv.ink or write to Pavel Litvinka, ul. Lechicka 8, lok. 51, 02-156 Warszawa, Poland. State that your request concerns HereFor, tell us how to reply, and, if possible, include the Install ID from Settings → About. Do not send your Apple Account password or banking details.

If you are turning off analytics, save your Install ID first. Without it, we may be unable to match your request to the relevant records. We will tell you whether the information you provided is sufficient and, if necessary, ask only for additional information needed to locate the data and verify the request. You do not need to create an account to contact us.

We cannot remotely read or delete local history you have not shared with us. You can manage deletion of app data and system backups through iOS. Offloading the app preserves its data and is different from deleting it. Deleting the app does not delete analytics data already sent or cancel your Apple subscription.

Deletion requests are assessed in accordance with the grounds and exceptions provided by the GDPR. If certain information must be retained by law or for a legal claim, we will explain which data cannot be deleted and why.

14. Your rights

Where provided by the GDPR, you may request access to and a copy of your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability. You also have the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. Following such an objection, processing must stop unless there are grounds under the GDPR to continue, which we will explain to you.

Send requests to herefor@pltv.ink or the postal address in section 1. Requests are generally handled free of charge. We respond without undue delay and no later than one month after receiving your request. Where the GDPR permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we will tell you about the extension and the reasons for it within the first month. The extension may be up to a further two months.

You may lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych) in Poland — UODO — or another competent supervisory authority, in particular in the country of your habitual residence, place of work, or the alleged infringement.

We do not use this data to make decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.

15. Changes to this policy

When our data processing changes, we update this policy and the date at the top. We communicate material changes in the app or through another available channel. Where new processing requires consent, that consent must be obtained before it begins. Updating this policy does not itself constitute your consent.
